Answer Readiness

An assistant answering a question has to take a passage out of your page and put it in front of someone who has not read the rest. A page written to be read top to bottom often falls apart when you do that — the paragraph starts with “this”, the answer is three screens below the heading that asked the question, the number has no unit.

Answer readiness scores each page against checks for exactly that, and every one of them is deterministic. The same page scores the same today and next month, and each finding tells you what it looked at. There is no model behind it, which is the point: a score you cannot reproduce is a score you cannot act on.

The score shows on the post editor as you write, and the site-wide view is sorted worst first, because that is where the work is.
