Q&A Markup

If a page has question headings with real answers under them, that structure can be published as markup an assistant and a search engine can both read. Most sites have the questions and none of the markup.

PinMeOut finds the question headings that have a genuine answer below them and publishes them as structured data. Headings phrased as questions with nothing useful underneath are skipped, because marking up an empty answer is worse than marking up nothing.

It is published as structure for machines to read, not as a bid for a rich result: Google stopped showing FAQ results for most sites in 2023, and we would rather say so than sell you one.

It checks first whether Rank Math, Yoast, AIOSEO or SEOPress is already marking up questions on that page, and stands down if so. Two plugins publishing competing structured data on one page is a common and entirely self-inflicted problem.
